such FUN!

Lucky me, I got to attend the conference again this year, this time in beautiful New Orleans. The weather could have been better: less rain and humidity, less tropical storm Cindy, fewer warnings about possible tornadoes and such, but overall, my days there were exciting. I got to sign a few books of mine, cover a breakout session on workplace investigations (watch for it in HR Journal), and even be videotaped retelling a scary incident from my novel, Dream Job. Can't wait till next year!

Trip home not so much fun. Four hour delay, much of which was on the plane, cramped and uncomfortable and starving; being hacked the second night home and unwittingly giving too much info to the hackers posing as saviors, cancelling all my credit cards, etc. I'm not such a smart cookie after all.
